Cranberry Flats Family Session | Saskatoon Lifestyle Photographer

I love being able to spend time with families, exploring and creating new memories, I believe that is what family sessions should be about. Creating an experience for the little ones, giving them to opportunity to explore, get dirty and just enjoy being them in their surroundings with the comfort of their parents. When you can create a relaxed atmosphere, not stress about having the “perfect” family photo, because really there is no story in perfect, I find that is when you’re able to create beautiful meaningful images.

Over the past three years I have been documenting this sweet family. From baby bump to a family of five… well that includes Timmy their sweet pup, always gotta bring him along!

This year I took the Nicholson-Schell family out to Cranberry Flats - there was a little off roading with the stroller, but I think little Ev had a blast with that. It was a nice relaxed quiet evening of walking barefoot in the sand, exploring, piggy back rides, flower picking and even a secret hand shake with Mom. These are the moments I love to capture with my families.

These images are truly little love notes as the children grow over the years and when they look back on these times, I hope these images spark memories of secret hand shakes and the scent of those beautiful wild flowers.
